Brief description of work done:
  • A gigantic task of preparing Photo Identity Cards for a voter base of approximately six lakhs in the state of Assam has been undertaken under a national project of the Election commission of India. The modus operandi comprised Multilingual Data Entry, Field Video-graph, grabbing of images for computer processing, Merging of Database with linked images, laser printing of processed data & image in predefined format with duplicate miniatures, hologram pasting, cutting and laminating each individual Photo Identity cards thus printed. The mammoth operation involved strength of more than 150 skilled manpower and necessitated precision, quality, security and considerable administrative functioning and control over a period of two years of operation. This project was a technological savvy with incorporation of Multimedia, Multilingual transliteration and Relational Database Management system.

2. Name of Project:Computerization of National Joint Census of Handlooma & Power looms, Govt. of India.

Brief description of work done:
  • The company developed software, compiled and entered data, processed and generated reports successfully for 3GB database related to the National Census for Handlooms & Power looms in the state of Assam under a national project initiated by the Govt. of India

Brief description of work done:
  • The company conducted a wide scope of training and consultancy activity on turnkey basis for 18 secondary level government high schools within the state of Assam under a national project known as CLASS (Computer Literacy and Studies in Secondary Schools). The project involved institution of company's own employment of qualified faculty in all the schools and incorporated training, system maintenance and software administration for each and every school.

4. Name of Project: Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) of Guwahati, Assam.

Brief description of work done:
  • Establishment of Fiber connected first Metro Area Network of Easten India in Guwahati by the name 'vedantiNET' in operation since August '06 hosting 21 network based broadband services including World Wide Web access.It is a project establishing leased physical networking of computers within the city of Guwabati using Fiber Optic cable in the backbone.The project delivers a number of network based services at the highest level of integrity and reliability at the peak possibility of 1 GBPS transfer rate to all linked users in a redundant manner 24 hrs a day 12 months a year.The tecbnology, functionality, services and and operation involved have been envisaged at the highest international level with no compromise in quality yet at reasonably affordable limit. Independent households, Multidwelling apartments, industrial houses, corporate offices, financial & educational instutions and in all other establishments where computers can be networked are brought into an internetworking environment facilitating internet gateway access, videos, voice & data services and plethora of other offerings.
          This project is the first and foremost high bandwidth high profile Fiber enhanced Metro Area Network of Eastern India. The total network length is around 600 kms (Oct'2007) , there are more than 1000 broadband and 5000 access users and the investment is close to Rs.5 crores.
